Mallets are not conducive to successful angling and it is possible if struck directly, damage will occur to either the thumb screw or thread (on Adjustable Head Bankstick). If a mallet is deemed absolutely necessary JAG recommend using a cap device such as Gardeners “Hammer Head” placed into outer bankstick section.

When pushing a buzzbar set-up into the ground it is best to remove outer section of bankstick and push this in first. If pushing into ground with a 3 Rod Buzzbar attached, make sure that both hands are placed immediately either side of middle fixing position. Never apply pressure with hands spaced apart as this could loosen middle fixing or in extreme cases cause bending. |
|
Thread fixing’s are secured with a 5mm grub screw. Under normal use these should never loosen but can be re-tightened with a 2.5mm hexagonal key. To do this firstly remove cap, then ensuring hexagonal key is fully inserted and is a good fit, tighten in a clockwise direction. |
|
Ensure cap on bankstick is fully screwed down. Screw Buzzbar all the way down Bankstick thread, next unscrew Bankstick slightly until tommy bar is approx 15 degrees from desired position, next screw cap up until it stops at Buzzbar base then use tommy bar to achieve exceptional clamping pressure. The tommy bar can be perfectly aligned out of the way. |

Using same principal as the Adjustable Head Bankstick, firstly ensure Buzzbar caps are fully screwed down, then screw alarm/rear rest fully into head. Unscrew alarm slightly until approx 15 degrees from desired position, next screw cap up to base of alarm/rear rest and tighten alarm to achieve perfect alignment and clamping pressure. |
